& Preventive Medicine Physicians
- To improve the health of Michigan's public through the application of medical knowledge to preventive and public health issues.
- To provide a forum for the development of recommendations concerning public health issues through the exchange of information and discussion.
- To provide a means for interchange with the local, state, and academic public health communities on recommendations concerning public health issues and practices.
- To provide a means of interchange and interaction between preventive medicine, public health, and clinical practitioners on issues of mutual importance and interest.
- To enable members to obtain information on issues of importance to the practice and study of public health and preventive medicine.
- To enable members to effectively convey the views of the Association to local and state public health, academic public health, community organizations, the state medical society, and other physician groups.
- To enable members to interact effectively with the clinical community on issues of common interest.
- To enable the Association to communicate information relative to preventive medicine and public health to the general public.
- To advocate on behalf of Public Health and Preventive Medicine Physicians.
- To encourage the development and ongoing support of a General Preventive Medicine and Public Health Residency training program for physicians in the state of Michigan.
