Communications

Keeping in touch and working together is what MAPPP is all about.

MAPPP ListServe

MAPPP uses a ListServe where members can sharing ideas and materials and ask questions of their colleagues.

The ListServe address is: mappp@mappp.org. Please note that the ListServe only accepts messages from email addresses of subscribers. If you are a subscriber and are having problems sending a message, please contact Molly Polverento to make sure your email address is currect.

In order to join or leave the Listserve, please contact Molly Polverento

MAPPP has e-mail accounts available as a member benefit. One free e-mail account is available for any member in good standing whose dues are paid up. Your address would be: yourname@mappp.org You can access your e-mail either through web-based webmail or through a POP account using a main-line e-mail program such as Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook. In order to sign up for such an account, contact John Spriegel.

MAPPP Yahoo Group

MAPPP has a user group on Yahoo.  This user group has its own website with a place to post messages, share documents, and make calendar entries.

The web address for the group is: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/MAPPP/

To join, will need to establish a Yahoo ID in order to join.  It is quick and painless.  Once you have a Yahoo ID, you can select which e-mail address you would like to be contacted at for communications from our user group.

User members may elect to receive messages by e-mail each time a person posts a new message.  In this way, messages can be distributed a bit similar to the way we use the List Serve.  So all MAPPP members should join the user group, otherwise you might miss out on communications from other MAPPP members.

If you have difficulty joining the user group, contact Molly Polverento.

MAPPP Teleconferences

Teleconferences are held on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 8:00 am. Contact Molly Polverento for information on how to join a call or to request time on the meeting agenda.

Meetings

In person meetings are held at the annual Epidemiology Conference and the Premier Public Health Conference.
